The typical customer in a Tracktor Supplies store is not actually a farmer but rather rural people with large farm-like estates but making their living within normal jobs.
The company's retail ranch and farm stores in the US offers equine products, pet products and other animal products, including products for their animal health, growth, and containment; There are also maintenance products for farming and agricultural use, hardware and tools, power equipment for lawn and garden. trailer, truck, and products for towing and finally clothing for work and recreation. Beside the main group of customers, the recreational farmers (ranchers), there are also tradesmen and small business owners. Presently the group stocks over 13,000 products.
There are of course other tractor supply companies beside the TSC, many of these also cater for the segment of farmers - especially small farmers - using vehicles in agriculture, but also for the segments of hobby farmers (ranchers), turf managers, nursery owners - all of whom needs a good tractor supply with products like conventional and mini tracters, back hoes, wheel loaders like the Cat 950b wheel loader, dozers, dumpers excavators etc. These larger items are of course more often sold by heavy construction equipment companies but can still be found with smaller tracter suply companies.
